Film/TV Music

For over two decades Pete has specialised in writing, arranging and performing solo works of music for both the flute and soprano saxophone.

During that time he has written and recorded over 70 original compositions for film and TV that are regularly played in over 16 countries World-Wide, with one solo flute composition winning him the STEMRA FILM AWARD for the most imaginative use of film music.

It is often too easy with today’s excellent music software to create a series of random notes or phrases by using the cut and paste option of the program. Pete’s compositions are constructed using conventional musical harmony and structure. The solo line of music that you hear is then extracted from the full score, in this way every note has a specific reason and position in the final melody which helps to establish the music’s authority to create a substantial and lasting effect.
